Sigma Theta Psi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. was founded on November 13, 1991 at San Jose State University by eighteen unique women seeking to bring to-gether women from all walks of life. These eighteen women--our Founding Mothers--were determined to create a diverse sisterhood that would embody their shared values of honesty, loyalty, open-mindedness, leadership, respect, and academic excellence. Sigma women come from all walks of life, ethnicities, sexual orientations, ect. Our mission is to support ALL women through their educational and life endeavors. Since its founding, Sigma Theta Psi has continued to share and immortalize the value of multiculturalism in every aspect of our sisterhood.
